Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Mirror Dear website or app. Mirror Dear is a trading name of Software Serenade Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (no. 15014413), with its registered office at 1st Floor, Gallery Court, 28 Arcadia Avenue, London, United Kingdom, N3 2FG. By using Mirror Dear, you agree to these terms.

Mirror Dear is not therapy

Mirror Dear is a tool for everyday reflection. It isn’t a medical or mental health service, and the AI doesn’t diagnose or give professional advice. If you’re struggling, please talk to a doctor or a qualified professional. In the UK you can call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.

Your account

• You need to be 18 or over to create an account.
• Keep your password and your recovery key safe. Because we can’t read your diary, we can’t unlock it without your recovery key.
• You can delete your account and all your data at any time.

Your writing

Everything you write in your diary belongs to you. We can’t read it, and we don’t claim any rights to it.

Guides you create

• A guide you create belongs to you.
• If you share a guide with friends or publish it to the community library, you give Mirror Dear and its members a free, worldwide licence to show, use and remix it in the app. You can unpublish it at any time; copies others have already remixed may remain.
• Only publish guides you have the right to share, and follow our community guidelines.

The community

Be kind. Follow the community guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break them.

Paying what you want

Mirror Dear is free. Support payments are voluntary, don’t unlock extra features, and are handled by Stripe. Monthly support can be cancelled at any time from the link in your receipt.

Changes and availability

Mirror Dear is new: features may change, and occasionally something may not work as expected. We’ll tell you before making changes to these terms that affect you.
